It is because, as of now, the feature works only one way - for us to play a level for our friends. And, it is not the players that send the requests to us, but the game itself. I think that when we are stuck on a level for too long, somehow, the system gets triggered and sends a request to our friends!
The feature was just introduced to the game and is still in testing! Just like all new features, this too needs some improvements/tweaks! I am sure that providing our feedback, complaints and thoughts on the feature will help the game Studio to improve it ๐
