Candy Crush needs internet connection

Question

I am playing Candy Crush on my laptop.  My levels are up to date, but when I click on some events, I get a message saying an internet connection is needed.

I am connected to the internet.  I'm not connecting to app store either.

How do I fix this?

My game seems to be okay.  Levels and boosters are where they should be.  I'm not sure I understand about the pop up in the browser game.  I usually open game from my main FB page using the shortcut on the left side.  Is there another way to open it?

I'm using Windows 11.

Hello Janet @Janetdec🤗 Thank you for replying back and providing screenshot.

I usually get this pop-up when I opt to play a feature on App version (on iPad or Windows10) and, then, I select to play the same feature through the pop-up that appears in my Facebook browser game!   (Did it make sense?) 😅

Do you think this is something that might have happened in your game too?

In my game, it usually happens with Chocolate Box and/or Candy Royale!  I do not have Hungry Hatchling anymore!

I am playing on Facebook.  I use Chrome browser.  I do not have any problems if I play on my tablet.

Here is a screen shot of one of the messages.  This just occurred after I clicked "play" Hungry Hatchlings in the events section.
