Another boring weekend at the world of CandyCrush Saga and I have come across a blocker level after a long string of relaxing and easy levels.
Level 1077. This one has an easy to study algorithm. There are five colours, 18 moves and an order for two of the colours which can only be achieved with cascades. This is the easy version posted one year ago. No problem at all, 6 moves left at the end:
So now this morning (Sunday 1st September 2024) the same level is legendary and I am trying to see how long it will take me to get a lucky board such as in the video above, or any board that will allow me to pass. The strategy is obvious and what I would recommend:
Interestingly I have managed to make some combos and created cascades mid level, but then the chances dried up after that. This is what I was left with after a fruitful colour bomb+wrap cascade:
At this point I thought I might be onto some luck with the cascade but a few moves later I still have a large order for green candies…. note how few green candies have appeared on the board!
So normally you would easily get 26 greens in 5 moves if you have a colour bomb, a wrap and a stripe on your board. However, given that the algorithm is fixed for us to fail, this is what I get with one move left:
Of course I know how to pass this level: Play boosters or pay for extra moves. But I thought I'd try out how long it will take until I get a chance to pass without those. And just to illustrate how "fixed" these legendary levels are.
At the moment I am on +205 extra moves if I pay 10 gold bars.
"Don't Beat The Troll" upset my game plan a bit because it gave me unlimited lives and unlimited colour bombs. So once I got to +255 extra moves and replayed level 1077 about 10 more times I managed to pass, but that was with one extra colour bomb on my starting board that I got from the Troll event. By the way, it only took me 6 minutes to get all the orange candies to stop the troll from eating the cake.
