I am sorry to hear about the issue in your game! You are the 4th or 5th player that have complained today about this Grey screen issue!!
This Grey screen should usually clears on it's own within a day or two, and for some players, it takes about a week! Nobody knows how why this glitch occurs and how this clears up! Candy team is not able to reproduce this issue on their side, hence cannot work on a fix!!
I would suggest you to report a complaint with the Player Support team. Can you please tell me which device you are using to play the game?
