In Candy Crush Saga, there is a limit on the lives we can collect. In 24 hours, you can collect only 20 lives from your friends.
Once you have collected 20 lives in a day, a timer will start and we cannot collect anymore lives. Once the clock turns 12:00, the timer disappears and you can collect lives again.
