good evening, I’ve managed to lock myself out of my account. Im hoping someone can help as support isn’t being so helpful.
The other night my app froze on the level map page. It was frozen for a few days so I signed out my account hoping it would work again when signing in. Only my password wasn’t saved. If I follow the links to reset my password the link to submit a new password doesn’t work. I cannot reset my password at all. I have tried with support who are telling me to follow steps I already have or to try the community pages but to me it seems I just need someone to reset my password for me. Any ideas??
Hello @S_b_123 I am sorry that Support did not help you and sent you here! Usually we advise players to go to Support for help on this kind of problem hoping that they will be able to reset your game for you. If you have forgotten your password you will not be able to access your game to reset the password. However, since I have a previously unsaved game I have tried to see if the "forgot password" works for me.
I go into Settings in the game and then into "my account" and get this screen.
I now press the option at the bottom "log in with email".
I type my email and then the green "forgot your password"
I do get this prompt. I type in my email again and then "reset password"
As you can see on the top of this page there is the message that King have sent me an email to reset my password, and indeed that email with the link is in my inbox. I followed the link and it sent me to the King website and there was an option to create a new password. As I don't want to change mine, I did not try that out though.
Have you tried these same steps? At which point does it not work for you? If your account is via Facebook then I am afraid I don't know how to retrieve it, but someone else might be able to help.
