We cannot ask our friends to play a level for us in "Help a Friend" feature! It is actually, the game system that sends those requests on behalf of the players! No one knows "how" - the system gets triggered and sends the requests to our friends!
I would suggest you to keep playing the level without using any of your boosters and not wasting your saved lives and see if the system asks your friends to play your level!
Other than that, if you can tell us which level you are stuck on, we can try and see if there are any tips we can come up with to win this level! Also, post a screenshot of your level game board.
