no its just the start of the game with my portrait and the number it does not start on its own i have latest candy crush using laptop windows

Do you see a Grey screen and not able to click on anything on your game map? Can you provide a screenshot for me to make sure?

the game freezes on the start screen and will not let me continue

Which device you are using to play the game?
If you live in one of the countries where the UFO Season is available, then is should appear automatically!
If you are using mobile device, ll you need to do is to make sure that you have the latest version of the game installed. your device has latest software and at least 2GB free space. All these will help to bring in the latest feature in the game!
