Nice maths. I might just carry on to the end with one of them. If the game lets me. But knowing how it works I'll probably get to within 2000 levels of the end and then have to spend everything I've got.
I've been driven to quit with one of my two test games because the newly rewritten levels are just too dull and I don't see why I should waste my time on this. The whole of Candy Crush has seen a major overhaul since I started this thread. At the outset I was hoping to show that yes, we can play this game and get to the end without paying money or watching ads.
But recent changes make me much less confident. My Tiffy game has stopped making gold, though is not losing much either. My gold balance has remained pretty stagnant for the past 300 levels, but the fun factor has dropped to zero on this game. I have been playing as quickly as the game intends me and entices me to play. This is my final map screen:
The Cow game plays more slowly at one episode per day and may yet reveal the answer to my question, but that may take a very long time.
Hi Christine,
Maybe you could respond to this thread on reddit?

I've taken a look at it but to respond I would have to create a login or account and I'm not prepared to do any social media apart from this community, that's plenty for me, thanks.
I meant respond here :) (since she answered your question, she went all the way, for free, in 1 year, if you believe that…)
Sorry I misunderstood. Thanks for sharing that. I do believe it. It sounds plausible.
It would be very interesting however to see if this person will still be going at the same speed up to the end of the map! Level 16,000 is roughly the point at present where the game gets brutal. About 2000 levels from the end of CandyCrush the game turns nasty with levels nerfed to extract our saved up gold and boosters from us. I read a lot of complaints about this in this community and have seen so many players come here after having successfully played episode after episode and then hitting that wall of impossible levels that King have put into the game. It is a moving wall, it seems to move in synch with the end of the game, and your correspondent should hit it pretty soon. That will be interesting to see if they are still bragging then. Also there has this person claimed to only play the game as it is intended, like I do in my thread here? Since there are some super simple ways to out-trick the game that can hugely contribute to anyone's progress it is undoubtedly a fact that many players get to the end of the map without ever paying anything, but that is not relevant to my post.
My biggest problem with this story: "Right now Royale is paying me out high amounts. Today I got 350 bars, yesterday I got the full 700 (never seen that before), the day before that is was 400something"
I haven't seen royale in a week, she getting 1400 gold in 3 days. Pretty much anyone could play for free that way :)
I hadn't seen that part. Yes, that sounds a bit fishy to me. My experience of the game is that the game will not pay out repeated high Candy Royale prizes like that. It's fixed by King how much they pay out, so it's not something you can earn by any particular strategy. I would lean towards thinking this is a lie rather than a lucky glitch in the game. Either way, yes, of course with that amount of gold you can get far a lot quicker. I guess that's why I don't do reddit. I'd only get annoyed with people like that.
I had such grand hopes when starting this thread: The plan was to find out how far I could get playing with NO ADS and NO MONEY. Just using gold and boosters wisely, and of course using no dirty tricks or cheats!
Two games participating in this experiment with slightly different gameplay: One playing to win and pass lots of levels and play to win competitions and events, spending gold bars on boosters. The other playing only boosters from events and using gold only for extra moves in those really tough levels. This one was playing one or two episodes maximum per day.
Both games started off playing the same week when I started this thread and this is how it ended up:
Game 1 Tiffy got to level 1536 and qualified for the finals of the Warcraft games.
Game 2, Cow, is of course not as far up the game, but has more gold bars. This one also qualified for the finals of the Warcraft games.
I am fairly confident that while continuing with either of these two strategies the game would allow both players to get much further and possibly within 2000 levels of the end of the game without using ads or spending real money. However playing "as intended by the game" has become unbearably boring due to the changing nature of the events and levels rewrite. The fun factor has gone down in both games to such an extent I am abandoning the rest of the experiment. Anyone wanting more details please check my other discussions.
Agreed. Thinking is gone.King has gone to pure addiction, basically drug pushing in my opinion.
