Different versions of the game?

Level 1

If I look at various help sites, the number of lives in their examples are often different to mine.

Eg level 6016 - help site version starts with 25 lives but mine says 16! No wonder it is impossible to clear!

How can I get this different version?

Hello @Tangojd Welcome to the community!

King change the levels from week to week to keep the game interesting and make sure none of us can crack their algorithms. This means that every week difficulty of levels changes. Sometimes this is hardly noticeable but sometimes this involves changing the number of moves allowed. Generally we all get the same number of moves for a level. The different versions on these helpsites are from the past. When you check up levels on YouTube it's always best to look for a recent post. Anything more than a few months old is usually out of date.

Do come here if you need any advice with specific levels you may be stuck on. We can help with those by scrolling back in our games to check them out. Whenever I do this for other players I always find that I have the same number of moves and similar difficulty as others.

That is not strictly correct @Tangojd . As you can see in the video below Johnny Crush did pass it in 16 moves. A lot of times, with these seemingly impossible levels, it isn't about the number of moves but about whether the game will drop you the right candies needed, the so-called "lucky board". This video illustrates what I mean: The very last move seemingly will leave Johnny just one candy short, but because he has that lucky board the game drops the right colour to miraculously hit the last jelly at the top.

There is a simple strategy I use to spot and take advantage of a lucky board in levels like this one. I don't play starting boosters for these seemingly impossible levels just because we don't have enough of them to waste, but if you get timed boosters they might just help. I always make the first move suggested by the game. Then I look for any chance to make a special candy such as striped or wrapped candy of better still a colour bomb. If I get the chance to make a combo with two special candies then I think I might be lucky and strike it. A wrap/stripe combo is great. If I get a colour bomb forming or the chance to create my own colour bomb, again I think I may have a lucky board so I look carefully for any chance to make this into a combo with a striped or wrapped candy, as shown in the video.

If I get stuck on a level for too long I do pay my way out with 10 gold bars or by playing a UFO when I see this will definitely help me pass the level. UFOs are no use if there is still rainbow twist on the board though, so never use one until that is cleared.

Eventually you will get a lucky board similar to that shown in the video, but just when that will be is anyone's guess.

    Good luck!
