Game jumps back to newest level
I play on my mobile.
I'm back at my farming level, win, close the game, open it and while it does seem to be at that last played level again for like a fraction of a second it jumps back to the newest level.
I'll close the game again, open, close, open, close, open…until it stays back at my last played level.
Just now it took me like five or six rounds to get it to stay where I left it.
WHY does the game behave that way and is there anything I can do to fix it?

I just want to make sure I understand the issue fully so we can help you out.
Are you saying that when you go back to a previous level to replay it, the game suddenly jumps to your newest unlocked level? And do you mean you have to open and close the game multiple times to get it to stay on your chosen level?
Let me know if I got that right, or if there’s anything specific about the jumping back that you’re noticing.

Correct.
It sometimes happens without closing the game first too.
I play an old level, I win that level, I go back to the board and suddenly it jumps to the first unlocked level without me clicking on my icon.
In rare cases I click on an old level to play and while the board with the booster options open and I can play that old level, I can see the game jumping to the first unlocked level.
Usually I'm back at the old level after I play.
But mostly it happens after I close the game.1 -

So the game is designed to always bring you back to your latest unlocked level, especially after closing and reopening the app. This is to make it easy for players to continue progressing.
I'm actually very surprised you have been able to play older levels this way, my game will always bring me to my latest level even when I pass an older level😅.. have you recently updated the game app?
Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to change this flow but, you might be interested in seeing that we have an Idea section HERE and one of the most voted ideas is to get a Go To level feature so it's easier to go back to favorite levels.
This is an idea we have been sharing with the team so we hope they will have time to look in to it 😃

It just happened again.
I clicked on level 728 and the board jumped to my first unlocked level.
I then clicked "spielen (= play)", played the level, won it, clicked on the x to get back to the board and was right back where I wanted to be.

The game has been lagging for a couple of weeks as well. The jumping has happened more often since then too.1
