The Star Tournament is at the end of the map for those addicted players who cannot go a day without playing Candy Crush. It does not slow your progress as there are no levels for you to play and no progress to be made until new levels get released tomorrow. The only point of the Star Tournament is to allow players at the top of the map to compete in leaderboard competitions and in events like Top That, as any Star Tournament levels passed do count towards these events. Most of us never bother to play it and agree that it is pointless. It will disappear as soon as new levels replace it. 45 new levels are added to our games every week on a Wednesday afternoon UK time.
