As QueenB stated on the first page: You only get the prize if all the boxes have been claimed. So to earn the gold your team has to score 60 levels. Perhaps your team did not achieve this? Mostly I find this is a single player game. They team us up with players who don't really contribute I think. I won the 20 gold, but I was pretty much on my own. I certainly was alone in this final sprint (I'm the Tiffy icon, the only player actually adding to the score in the last hour of play):

It's possible to win gold bar. I did it last week. This week, my team won, but the message has disapeared so quickly that it has been impossible to know why i didn't receive my reward.
