Level ended with reactions still in play. Can see 3 orange in a row here and there was another 2 going up to the right

This is normal. The final cascades are always cut shut and do not play out fully, whether we pass or fail. On this occasion the game has already determined that you failed so it cut the sequence short at the point you made your last move: The game knows which candies will drop because what candies drop is written into the code for levels and not chance.
