Yes @Babou93 This is normal and to be expected in Candy Crush. The game is designed to allow players to keep passing levels easily at first, so that you enjoy playing and get addicted to the game, then they will put in levels that will block you so that you will start to spend gold and money.
The new levels for the snowstorm event, yes they can be brutal! You might have to spend some gold to get past this. Keep replaying it until you have no lives left. Hopefully you have some lives from friends to keep going. You will need luck. If the game allows you to create combos of wrapped and striped candies you might pass this. Watch out for any opportunity you get.
