In Candy Crush, you can gain more lives through several methods:
- Wait for Lives to Regenerate: You start with five lives, and they regenerate over time (one life every 30 minutes).
- Ask Friends: You can request lives from your Facebook friends who also play Candy Crush. They can send you lives directly.
- Send Lives: If you have friends who play, you can send them lives, and they may return the favor.
- Purchase Lives: You can buy extra lives using in-game currency (gold bars).
- Use Boosters: Sometimes, special events or promotions may give you extra lives or boosters that can help you progress.
- Check Daily Rewards: Logging in daily may grant you bonuses, including extra lives.
- Join Events: Participating in special events can sometimes yield extra lives as rewards.

The best way is to make sure you invite as many friends to your game as you see. Many won't accept your invite, but some always so. In all the leaderboard competitions (e.g. Winter Cup or Gold Club) you can click on each of the other players and check their player cards. Those who do send lives to others click on the friends option and see if they will become your friends. Once you have some friends make sure you click each individually in your friends list every day and both send and request a life from them! That way I do get lives in abundance and can use 20 each day. 20 per day is the cap imposed by King.
