Some of you might have noticed that there has recently been a change to how Candy Necklace boosters are added to the starting board. They can now be placed under marmalade, licorice locks, order locks, and even inside locked chests.
This might make levels oops less often, but it can also break levels in other ways.
Today, I came across one such level, 14594, which is a puzzle-type level with the frog.
I need color bombs to charge the frog, but the problem is that the dispenser won't drop a color bomb if you already have one on the board. And I do have one, in a locked chest in the top right hand corner! To open it and retrieve the bomb, I need to collect the keys, and that's only possible with the frog. To charge it, I need to retrieve that color bomb somehow…. That's the vicious circle.
This level, which is normally easy, has cost me a party popper because I did not want to lose the Super Color bomb. I don't know how many levels can be affected by this, but it looks like there's a brand new way to break our win streaks. Beware!
Thank you for the warning. I had not even noticed this change to be quite honest but now you are telling me I do remember seeing caged up super colour bombs on levels. Well, I guess it's another way King have added to control our win streaks now we have the super colour bombs. This must be the only way their algorithms can find to block players with two colour bombs.
That is pretty grim that they can break the more intelligent levels in this way. I hope their response and next step to avoid these levels glitching won't be to eliminate the frog… The latest frog levels released, of which there are not many, do not require much thought processing and generally can be passed without using the frog. Just to let you know.

Thanks, even though the news is sad. Removing the frog will likely be the final straw for me. Hope it doesn't come to this…
