Hello.
i have not played Candy Crush for a long time.
when I logged back in with my account, it succeeded, but the progress account was shown with different email and name, which i do not recognize.
i realized that my password was compromised, and when I tried changing back to my email in the setting, it says “wrong password” although I have entered correctly.
is this because I have to enter the password from the hacker’s email to change back to my email?
i’m on level 14334 by the way
Try once you enter your email go to forgot password and change it…hopefully that will help 😡🤭🤞🤞
i did that, but when logging in the game, it still shows the hacker’s email. And yeah i still cannot change it back to mine because it says wrong password (because it expects the hacker’s email password, not my login password)
This forum account is fine though thankfully.
Hello @auranticus and welcome to the community.
As you are obviously able to open your game and access your profile, from what you describe. You should therefore be able to find your Player ID, which will help King locate your account and hopefully they will be able to help restore it to you. Your player ID is found in "my account" in Settings in the game, which is the page where you have to input your email and password. Double click on the King logo at the top of that screen. Then contact Player Support using the "contact us" link here and explain what has happened:
I would not recommend contacting Player Support via the app in your case since you state that the email that shows up is not your own. Since King contact players by email it is important you give them your correct email. If you go via this website you can input your correct email, but you will need to tell them your player ID if they are to help you.
