my purples should have disappeared and the color chain kept going. instead the game just ended. why is this
Because the game ends when you run out of moves chrgkid55. Never ending cascades were removed from the game two years ago, so once you run out of moves the game ends regardless of matched candy being available.

I am sorry! I might be missing something here! What did you mean by "color chain kept going"?
The way I see your screenshot - you still need to collect 2 Gummy Dragons! One of the Gummy Dragon is in the right end of the board and blocked by the Purple candy! I am not sure where the other dragon is! Since you reached the last move, your level failed! Can you please clarify what I am missing🤔
