Why is there still no option to have the old music and sounds?

The new sounds and music have been in the game for over two years now. And I, like many others don't find it nearly as good as the classic. I find it rather bland and overdramatic and it just doesn't fit with the game. I'm baffled that there's still not at the very minimum an option to enable the old sounds and music, especially since the music still exists in the game's files… So, what's stopping the addition of an option like that?
