I have had this problem too in the past. Right now I am seeing neither the season game nor the lucky lantern competition, so I'm not seeing the stars at all, unfortunately. :-( I think this happens because both things have test groups where some players do not receive them. I am currently in neither the events that give the stars, nor the event where you cash them in. Apparently you are in the events that give the stars, but not the one for cashing them in. I was in your situation with the previous competition. It's unfortunate, but I don't think there's anything we can do about it.
