Why does the game ALWAYS say I missed a day?

I have always had this problem, the game ALWAYS says I have missed a day when I haven't. It even does it when I am in the middle of a game, it does this every time I pass a level or have to redo a level.

Also, when I do purchase bars, when I use them, sometimes it will use more bars then I had needed.
