Freezing ads

some ads continue to freeze. Is there a way to close a frozen ad WITHOUT having to close the app and restart it? I’ve had the same ad freeze at least 10 times today.

I’ve reported the issue to player support, which improved the overall issue & freezing is occurring less. Until this issue is fixed, I will not take the chance on watching ads for boosters & moves at the end of a level only to lose my candy Royale and/or winning streak.

I was hoping there was some way to escape a frozen ad. I’ve been able to make progress in my original account now that I know you can use gold bars to buy boosters before & during a level, which you told me in another thread. I don’t know how I managed to get to level 16,500+ without knowing that.

I opened a second account on my laptop (not a Mac) have gotten to level 500+, but get no special offers or ads, so no way to earn boosters except with the daily spins. There are plenty of friends that ask for a life, but so far only one friend gave ME a life.
It would not be worth the effort to quickly use the laptop to pass a level when I get a frozen ad on my iPad.

You are doing the right thing @cwgames99 and I would do exactly the same. If it happens too often then don't take the risk of watching any ads during key events like Candy Royale. Never trust ads, it's such a risk if they hang up. Use them to gain boosters for your inventory if you have sweet cinema or the balloon feature, then use those boosters to help win the episode race and use the gold bars from that for extra moves.

This community is not suited to give feedback, so King won't take note of your post or comment here, but watch out for the next update of the game. Often on a Monday or Tuesday the game gets updated and issues like yours may then get resolved.

I can't myself think of a way to get out of any frozen screen issue without closing the app, which means of course that the level is lost. The only other suggestion would be to use two devices. If the level freezes on one, open, play and pass the level on the other device and then make sure it's saved. Then if you close the frozen device after you passed on the other device it should still register as you having passed that level.
