The fix for the frozen screen condition I'm experiencing says to update the app on my laptop. I have followed the instructions on how to update the app and verified that my OS and all requirements meet requirements for the software update. I turned on automatic update and restarted my computer. It updated something but it seems maybe not the Candy Crush app as it's still frozen on the same awards screen. If I uninstall and reinstall I think I lose all progress and start at level 1 again. I'm on level 2504 or something like that. I do not want to start over at level 1. How can I get the bug fix installed on my laptop without uninstalling the app and then downloading it again? Updates don't seem to help my situation with the frozen award screen.
