I have the same question. When you run out of lives, occasionally you would get a bonus life with boosters for 15 minutes (used to be 30 minutes!) but I haven’t had this for 2 days now.

He comes and goes. King remove him from the game at times when they would like us to spend our gold and buy boosters, such as during leaderboard competitions. It will probably be back when the competition is over and they will then make the game easier again for all players. This sort of coming and going of features is very typical of Candy Crush. Nothing is permanent.

it makes me play less not more when they remove this . Silly really. Makes the levels too hard and you lose interest in the game cos it’s frustrating instead of fun.
