Kindle Fire won't add levels beyond 17675

I recently completed level 17675 on my kindle, and it tells me that new levels will be coming soon. It's been over a week. On a Facebook group I learned from another user that he has been stuck in same place for over 9 months, with no new levels provided.

I did try uninstalling and re-installing the app, but it resumes at the same place.

Is the candy crush kindle app no longer being supported? I need to know whether to continue waiting for levels or to stop playing the game. Thank you

I did reach out already via "contact us", per your directions earlier today, and I you just sent me the same reply as you did earlier.

Hello @rxbjs69 if your device is using Fire OS 5 or lower you will not receive any new levels. Kindle Fire's use a forked version of Android and Android 5 is no longer supported by King.
