Level 1
for the second time I just started a race. I completed a Level last night and did not want to proceed because I knew I wasn’t gonna play all night long and I wanted to start my race this morning so I just now hit start the race button and when I checked the progress of the game before I started the race I wanted to see what it said, and if it did it what it did the last time I started the race which it did… there was already somebody who had made it 3/4 of the way to the finish line and the race had just begun. What’s the deal with this?

Are you writing about the episode race? It is run on a timer and the other players are just recordings, so how far they have advanced does not really matter at all. Please don't be put off by someone apparently being so far ahead! All that matters is the progress you make yourself from the moment you pass that first level of the episode race. The timer starts the moment you pass the first level of the episode race. This is not the same as the moment we press the "start race" button, it really is the moment we pass that first level that counts, so in your case the timer started to run down last night. So always make sure you play the entire episode the moment you pass the first level and you definitely will win it. Normally the game will give you several hours to pass any episode race, but I don't know exactly how long. The other players are irrelevant. Time is the decider for this event.

Thanks for reaching out! I understand how this might seem confusing. The Episode Race isn’t always in real-time, players in your race may have started at different times, and when you join, you’re placed in a group with others who are at a similar point in the game. This means that some players may have already made progress by the time you start your race.
Unfortunately, delaying when you hit the "Start Race" button doesn’t reset the race or give you a fresh start with other players who just began. Instead, you are matched into an ongoing race based on game data.
