Interesting so is seems like King might be setting up the early board as All-Stars fodder as well as making it more accessible. Seems to line up with the ~3000 foolproof levels.

I agree. They're creating a tournament where in theory anyone can compete and win it if they spend enough money to buy boosters.
Traditionally from experience the run-up and qualifier rounds are easy and players are encouraged to believe they are good at this game and that they stand a chance to win it. Once the competition gets serious though King withdraw all the other events that players have come to rely on for boosters, so they will have to spend gold bars to keep going at the required pace. That's how King make so much money out of it.

I wonder if King will officially allow two accounts and tell people to use a second account to start at level one again for All-Stars.
