You should be glad that no money was taken. Unless you are a really rich person who can easily afford to pay to play this game, spending money on Candy Crush is not a good idea at all. To enjoy the game it's best played for free. My advice is to never spend money or gold on extra lives, which appears to be what you have tried to do here. Wait for your lives to refill and invite lots of friends to your game, then request and send lives to them so that you can play with 20 added lives every day.
