I've seen this one as I was part of the test group for this:
It is "pins" .
I found it too complicated to understand how it works exactly, and if I don't get it…... It gives players pins to collect after reaching certain achievements. At that time there are endless animations that cannot be skipped. This includes times when we are awarded 5 minute timed boosters. One minute of these is then taken up by animations. I suspect this is another method to slow players down!
