I have been a devoted Candy Crush Saga player since 2013. With over 18,000 levels completed, this game has been a constant source of joy and challenge for me for more than a decade. I was incredibly excited to participate in this year’s "All stars" tournament and had high hopes of reaching the final, but unfortunately, I find myself in a situation that prevents me from competing on equal terms — which has been very disheartening.
I’m writing to express my concerns regarding certain aspects of the tournament that are currently impacting my experience:
- Lack of new levels to continue earning purple candies: I’ve reached the end of the available game levels (level 18,845 as of April 11th, 2025), which means I can no longer collect purple candies to progress in the tournament. This puts me at a disadvantage, as I cannot actively compete while I wait for new levels to be released.
- Excessive difficulty of the Special Tournament levels (the one after the rainbow): The Special Tournament levels at the end of the rainbow are extremely difficult, and since they cannot be replayed, I’m unable to accumulate purple candies as I had hoped. This makes it significantly harder to progress and maintain a competitive position.
- Unequal competition: I’m competing against players who are on much lower levels, such as 1000 or 2000, whereas I have progressed much further over the years. This has ironically put me at a disadvantage rather than an advantage, as I have no new levels or races to play, and the ones available to me are considerably more difficult than those faced by others at this stage.
Due to the inherent difficulty of the advanced levels, the lack of new ones to play, and the overall complexity of the tournament, it has become nearly impossible for me to continue fighting for a spot in the next round.
I truly appreciate the team’s effort in creating such exciting events, but I believe these issues impact the fairness and overall experience for those of us who have invested so much time and dedication in the game. I really expected the chance to participate in the grand final in California. Last year, I had the opportunity to compete in the tournament, but due to personal reasons, I couldn’t dedicate the time I would have liked. This year, however, I was even more excited and made both personal and professional arrangements to give it my all — which makes these limitations even more disappointing. I would love for the Candy Crush Saga team to consider a solution to these challenges.
I look forward to hearing from you on how I can proceed to continue playing and competing in this year’s tournament, even though I’m currently feeling deeply disheartened by the situation after playing after 18 hours since the start. of the Final Round 1.
I’m dreaming of going to California and continuing to compete in the tournament on equal terms, and I truly hope you can offer a solution.
