Curious about strategy for collecting purple candies

Level 3

I've read multiple posts regarding what will be required to advance through upcoming rounds (180k+ per hour), Honestly, I've never been close to collecting that many purples. When you play levels do you focus more on the purple candies on the board or passing levels? I know that sounds silly but you have to do both so at the end I just try to clear levels only focusing on purple if they will advance my ability to clear the board!

    Level 3

Hello, its a very good question.

I try to do both, passing the level and make sure i collect the most purples. Its not an easy task, especially if you are playing above levels 6000. Above levels 6000, some levels are stupidly impossible to win without boosters and some boosters may let you pass the level on few plays, with the inconvenient that you dont collect many purples...I would love to have my storage on levels 2000ish but thats impossible without spending money on game.

In my opinion the winners off All Stars will be the ones who:

    1. Are really very good and fast crushing and with very knowledge off the game;
    2. Created a new account and are atually on levels 2000ish; and
    3. Bought their boosters, knowing they will need to spend between 3000-4000 euros.

I dont recomend people to spend any money on the game, as the probabilities to win All Stars are below 0 %

Thanks for the feedback. I will not spend money on CC under any circumstances so that's off the table. Honestly, while I'm still in the tournament I have a very clear understanding of just how improbable/impossible the goal of reaching the finals is particularly since my game strategy does not have me collecting more than about 50k per hour. However, I am always looking for advice from the very knowledgeable people on this forum that can help me advance my overall understanding of the game. As an example, the posts about the new, really useless fish helped a great deal in decreasing my frustration and understanding how they work. Anyway, thanks again and good luck if you're still in All Stars

My advice to make the most purple candies is the same as my advice to play Candy Crush:

    Play starting boosters.

Make the first best move you see or the first move the game suggests.

Make special candies wherever you see the opportunity (colour bomb, wrapped, striped)

Make combos of special candies wherever you see the opportunity.

This method will lead to the best possible outcome for almost any level, not just in All Stars but in the whole game. It is "playing the algorithms".

The algorithm may not allow players to pass every level. Some levels will block us and we then need to decide if we want to pay to keep our win streak or replay the level until the game lets us pass. If we briefly pause a few moves from the end of any level, with a bit of experience we can tell what booster might help us pass. Often a single UFO , hand switch or lollipop can pass a legendary level. Often paying 10 gold bars can help pass. Sometimes nothing will help and we need to let go of our win streak or pay a lot of gold to keep it.

Thanks for the advice. As far as playing gold, I noticed this year that if you can't pass a level 3x it gives you 25 moves and a UFO booster for 10 gold. I think last year it cost you 16 gold to get any extra moves at the end. Honestly, that's quite a bargain! Unfortunately, this doesn't help your speed but it does help you pass a legendary level.

It would reduce the number of levels passed with regards to speed, but the five extra moves will add to your purple count for that level so will probably even out your score. Replaying a level wastes time, but paying 10 gold bars once probably is still worth it. Unfortunately the game won't give us more moves for 10 gold if we quit. They really do want players to spend money!

You definitely need gold but you actually really need boosters the most.

When I started the tournament I have about 15K gold but I have a huge arsenal of boosters. I'm talking in the thousands.

I actually barely use my gold in the tournament. Maybe 2K gold spent so far, because I keep earning gold as I play.

because I keep earning gold as I play.

How? What are the options besides the race of champions and the chocolate box and the candy royale?

Hey! Would you like to give us your opinion?
