Just wanted to share some possible wisdom and support for those going into knockout finals round 3.
I keep seeing the term "Super levels" thrown around in reference to maximised purple candy scoring depending on a level and some players saying they can spot it etc etc.
I just wanted to share my own experience and insight which may or may not be useful or true, purely based off of my playing experience to date and during the competition.
Admittedly I didn't use these "Super levels" in my run as well as I could have as I didn't quite realise at the time.. but for those of you progressing it may make a difference so here goes.
When you have your level load up, you have different clearance requirements for each level. Simple yeah? Though some levels are collect specific things I.e. dragons or liquorice.
These are the ones you need to focus in on for three reasons:
- Some of these levels have a specific drop rate for the particular collection you are trying to get. I.e. they won't drop to your board until a certain numbered move had been passed. This encourages tactical and some strategic gameplay to set up to ensure you can drop the specified things to the bottom.
- As a result of the drop rate being set at a numbered move, this means anything you do up to that move won't drop that thing no matter what you do. So what does that mean? Spam those boosters and maximise your candy collection.
- You can essentially just spam your UFOs and Party Boosters to get lots purple candy and doesnt affect the drop of that item so you can do anything up to that move. Just ensure when it does drop you are able to get it to the bottom.
I discovered this when trying to clear levels as fast as possible and I was frustrated on why aren't they dropping orders when I've colour bombed, mass chained and all that jazz. Answer is set numbered move release.
Based on this, I deduced this may be classed as a "Super level" to help maximise your purple candy collection.
The downside is you would need to buy a lot boosters and spam them and possibly take them away from when may need them clearing other levels if on set budget and/or utilising saved up gold to date.
I have read however you will be notified when reach max amount for that level to avoid excessive use.
This may all be speculation and hearsay, though if it is true and it does help those in the final round, I'm happy :)
