All Stars Device - is a super fast one needed?

This year I made it to final knockouts round 2. It appears to me that anyone who makes it to round 3 (the 24 hour knockout) will need to spend a party booster at every level to keep up. Question: would it be helpful on that round to have a super fast device? Any recommendations for devices?

Timed party poppers will do the trick. One per level. Don't worry, I believe you about the dropping speed you witness. But you could time level 1000 from pressing play to tap to skip. How long does it take on average on your iPhone 11 pro? I am yet to test out if there is anything we do to make it faster.

You must have over 1800 party poppers and a lot of UFOs for your 5.5M😆

I mostly play on iPhone 6s. When I play on iPhone 11 pro, the Candies Falling Speed and the game reaction time are faster OBVIOUSLY. I don't know how to show you the image I see, but it's very obvious.

Perhaps iPhone 11 pro is the standard of speed, just the iPhone 6s is under the standard because it cannot support vibration feature as well🤔

I played the following strategy on iPhone 12, iOS 18.4.1:

Chocolate box order = 3000 purple

Super charger colour bomb hit on move 1 and 2. Party popper on move 3. UFO on move 4 (if level not already passed).

Levels 954-984=30 levels

Skip through the following animations with 9 taps:

Plus end of episode Petal Peril event and champions race animations.

Total time taken for 3000 purple: 23.5 minutes (over 30 levels). If I held this up for 24 hours I would have scored 5.5 million, which is close to what the winner of my All Stars leaderboard scored, also at the pre level 3000 range.

I very much doubt that having a newer phone would make any difference. Our scoring speed depends on King's animations (Is there a way to reduce these down?), and our own tapping speed and stamina, i.e. can we keep up this speed for the full 24 hours?

Out of interest, I have been timing the pointless animations in between levels to try to find some pattern to the speed. The same screens including the Yeti jumping up and down screen and the one of the events filling up either can be tapped through very quickly or they fill up slowly and cannot be stopped with tapping. I find the sequence varies from 13 seconds to over 35 seconds between levels even though the events shown are identical. The iPad seems to be slower for this than the iPhone, but I also found a difference from one episode to the next, so it might be King experimenting with control of our game speed. It's work in progress.

I am also almost to level 1000 on my new test game, so I will be timing that on three devices/accounts soon.

Very interesting. I noticed that the board speed can fluctuate wildly while playing on the same device and with the same speed button setting. There have been two significant changes in my speed in the past month or so. I assumed that King had altered the speed as part of their testing or for some other reason, but it's possible that there's more to it. Very interesting indeed.

"It's very obvious"? Now you've got me curious @michimune as such claims always stir me into action. Nothing is ever obvious in Candy Crush in my mind until I have made a controlled experiment. The whole game is an illusion and I believe nothing just because it seems obvious. So here are my findings from this morning.

Experiment: I play and replay level 1000 on iPhone 6 ios 12.5.7 (old and touch screen breaks down at intervals) and iPad on ios 18.4.1

Level 1000 is perfect to test the theory out since it give a set number of purple/blue/green/orange and it has a lucky board with each attempt. Number of moves needed varies, but time taken is pretty constant using the same first move and general technique.

The » speed button makes the whole level about 10 seconds faster for me.

Using the » button:

iPhone 6: Five attempts 1.22 min, 1.32 min, 1.35 min, 1.29 min, 1.33 min

iPad: Five attempts 1.25 min, 1.33 min, 1.25 min, 1.30 min, 1.30 min

Both sequences were after turning the device off and on and reloading the game and both were using the "replay" button after the first attempt.

I don't see much of a difference at all.

However, (!) this was my second attempt at the test. The first I made some minor errors plus my iPhone's touch screen failed, like it does occasionally and I had to turn the phone off and on, which usually fixes it. At the same time the clock passed 9am UK time, the time that Season Pass shows up in my game, and I think it's time for a reset of the game at King's servers.

Before the reset both devices took about 10 seconds longer! This is across the board and was very noticeable. It may have been because I had turned my devices off and on, or it may have been because King did a reset to make the game faster. Either way it is NOT because one device is older than the other, so don't rush out and buy new phones just yet @BuddhaBoy . I will make some more tests on this in the weeks to come as I think I may be onto something here. There may be something yet that the All Stars winners knew that we don't understand about how to speed things up.

I am glad I am using the same iPhone model with you😆 BUT……..

iPhone 6s, IOS 15.8.2, it cannot support the vibration function of Candy Crush and other King’s game, regardless the version of specific game.

iPhone 11 Pro, IOS 18.3.2, it can support the vibration function of King’s game and have the game mode provided by King as well.

In Candy Crush, you can speed up the gameplay by pressing a >>icon at the bottom right corner while playing a level after you have passed level 500.

It’s very obvious that the candies falling speed in my iPhone 11 Pro are faster than my iPhone 6s after activating the speed up function in Candy Crush.

I don't find that I play a lot faster on my new iPhone than on my iPhone 6, which just about manages to still use the latest update. You don't need a faster device, you do need a good internet speed, a good broadband. That's much more important. King slow the the game down artificially for everyone with the pointless pop-ups, and no matter what phone or PC you play on you won't speed your game up beyond what the app allows. King control our game speed.
