Says I’m not connected to the Internet but I am

My game says I am not connected to the Internet but I am. As a result I do not have any tournaments or challenges and cannot add any friends. There are no updates available for the app in the App Store (iOS), and I don’t want to hard delete the app because I cannot log in (due to the no internet error) and would probably lose everything. My WiFi and router are working fine. I have seen other posts about this but don’t see any solutions posted. Any updates on how to fix this?

Unfortunately closing the app and restarting the phone did not resolve the issue. I have tried this many times :(. I have also turned WiFi on and off, restarted the router, etc. The router and WiFi works fine for everything else, so I don’t believe it’s the WiFi.

Usually the solution for this would be to close the app: on Apple devices this is done by swiping it off the home screen page. I do this every time I stop playing. Then when you reopen the app it will search for an internet connection and reconnect when it finds your wifi. Also make sure that the time/date of your phone or iPad is set to automatic. If this does not help try turn off and reboot your phone as well. Do NOT uninstall the app as this would mean you lose the boosters you have stored on the app.
