Hi there.
As it's become clear in the last round of All Stars small changes in cascading speed (the automated sequences of candies dropping and exploding) would affect who wins the final knockout round, as this is all about crushing speed and apparently players were still relying on drawing out levels with lots of cascades (rather than speed crushing through as many levels as possible) to clinch the first spot on those leaderboards.
So I've decided to test out what affects cascade speed in the game. Please don't suggest I use the speed button, obviously that is turned to the fast mode at all times.
Level 1000 is ideal to test out cascading speed:
- It is a sure pass with each board being equally easy
- lots of cascades
- there are four colours each dropping at equal rates
- the level terminates when we have collected 400 of each colour, so there is a fixed end point which players cannot affect : It is not possible to draw out this level and every time I play the outcome is identical
This is a test in progress, and anyone wishing to time themselves and post findings here would be very welcome! I do start with the suggested move but doubt it makes much of a difference how anyone plays this level. Don't think about your moves, make the obvious best cascading move or the ones suggested by the game and tap as quickly as you can. Time from the moment of striking the first move to Yeti jumping up and down.
