I paid $19.99 for 12 hrs. left the game with 11 hrs left. Came back 3 hrs later and there is NO time left. Where is the other 8 hrs.

Did you by chance change the clock on your device forward for any reason during this period? The timed boosters/lives change along with the clock of your phone.
