Rools

  1. Level 66 no lost lives.
  2. No buying boosters or gold with real money
  3. Get to end of map… maybe

The Good:

  1. New interfaces and such are nice
  2. Nice to see more of the game in high resolution
  3. Improved fish are improved, actually exploding on frosting and such is amazing.
  4. I like that the event screens do not open after every level now. That is so nice
  5. Level 58 was the first 1 turn and win level
  6. Level 72 was the first soul harvester level. 6+ tries, most being not even close losses
  7. The lucky egg seeming to have some variety as you win more is nice

The Bad:

  1. Petal Pestilence, I was hoping it would be over. Seriously though it is not bad at all, basically Volcanic Panic, which is the best version of the three types we have so far. that being said, I would still would rather do the last levels of the episode.
  2. Level 114. Sprink still drops on the last turn.

    A few other things (as if I am going to try and edit the first post… I know better than that ><)

    1. The lower levels, under 200, do feel more smooth and more complete. The new levels feel less like placeholders and seem to have more complete mechanics.
    2. The difficulty is also better. On the easy side but it is under 200 so that is better. Still a few butt kickers but not too many.
    3. Hard levels… they do not seem to vary between difficult and the 7th circle of hell anymore, well under 200 anyway.

    I don't get it you say. Well lets just say that you can see I started the level with infinite lives… with I suspect was around 5-15 seconds left on the timer. Ya 66-200 in 6 hours accomplished haha.

    P.P.S. As a dev I just love how the hard+ level icons look so happy and innocent. The level makes you want to scream and you just have to see that happy smiling skull. It is so trollish Mwahahahaha.

    Tiffy? What happened to Yeti? Don't you get Yeti at all now? The one on the pogo stick jumping up and down?

    The Petal Pestilence levels, if you replay them more than 5 times do your petals change to frosting like mine?

    It's nice to see you back in action, though you do know that the new profile name will make the AI think you're new and not trust you the same as @Pyrospring , but love the name anyway. Let us know what events you see and how easy they are. My latest got a ridiculously easy ride. Levels 1000-1700 are just mind bogglingly easy. I'm being nudged into thinking I'm the world's best player 🤣. I wonder when that will stop. Maybe in the 2000s.

    Have fun and I hope you see this one through….. and maybe get some marshmallow if you are lucky.

    Oh, and I would find it really interesting to hear how hard King make that last Petal Pestilence level, the one where you get the prize, for brand new players. I played it with and without starting boosters and got to over +225 extra moves offered and used up all my 20 lives before finally giving in and playing a UFO to pass this one. I found it impossible to pass without either a UFO or payment of gold.

    I'd be interested to hear if new players get an easier board or if we all get the same version. (this is not the starting board, I think it was shot on the second or third move)

    Hello Christine. Yes after i fail 5 times the petal boxes turn into normal frosting boxes. It's always a struggle to complete this last level in petal peril. I don't go upto 225 moves. I play again till I get 35 moves to complete it or if I'm fed up then it's ufo.

    Even one time I had super colour bomb for 24 hours i combined two but atlast i ended up losing colour bomb(for extra moves I watched ads, still unable to clear the board, and I was asked to pay 16 gold bars for extra moves). It's ALWAYS pay 10 gold bars or use ufo as you said. It's designed like that I guess.

    Tiffy I believe is the default for the special levels. I don't recall ever seeing yeti for them. Not failed one yet as they are training wheel mode still I suspect.

    So far it is what I would expect difficulty wise for the first day. Will have to see now that I am "hooked" haha.

    They events have tiered difficulty. I saw this when I checked out the various properties files.

    There are around 16-18 of these levels and they are grouped into easy, hard, super hard and pay up. I would say I got all from the easy tier plus general first day easy mode.

    Sounds about right.

    Post Day 1

    1. Going much as expected.
    2. Top That! took about 15 episodes so my numbers for requirements were not silly like some.
    3. First day after 200 still had the crappy win streak bonus. @QueenB Level 200 should be the conversion from the color bomb/1 striped/1wrapped at 6 to the normal one that has extra turns and such. ATM it requires 1 episode past 200 and you have to close the app once.
    4. Super Color Bomb being as useless as always. Funny how the levels get magically harder when I have it. Almost like the game is compensating and trying to get you to spend gold to keep it haha.
    5. I love how the Nightmarishly hard icon sorta sneaks up to the top of the level difficult label on the pre level screen while the Legendary just hops right up there with glee.
    6. Had to buy a few extra lives since I am not sure if the champions race timer is still short. 12 gold < 90 gold you would lose from losing the streak.
    7. Petal Peril give me the first two, you shall not pass levels.
    8. On the useless track, aka I got Triple delight and Treat Parade. I don't expect any of the good events like Pins or Lounge.

    Additional

    I noticed that lucky candy are worse the harder the level is and how many boosters you have used.

    Ya I think this is it this time. Level 325 and just chuckling as the game was in no pass mode. Oh well. Mobile game is Mobile game.
