In a nutshell: Levels 1-3000 are there to make you addicted to the game and think you are the best player around.
Candy Crush is all about keeping a positive gold budget: Players need to earn more gold than they spend. The first 3000 levels should allow players to stay in a positive gold balance and they can be played without spending any real money if you don't waste your gold bars.
My tips are this:
Be aware that all the events are manipulated and few of them are real or are fair. The episode race is from recordings, the weekly race is fixed by King to track your own progress, Candy Royale is fixed to give you a pre determined gold win if you reach the end, the more you win it the less it pays and the less often you see it. Factory Frenzy is similar and gets harder the more you win it. Understand that King are in control and we are playing a manipulative game. Most of the game is an illusion.
These are my more specific tips:
- In the earliest levels do not spend gold bars on a first attempt. Often the game will give you a much easier board on your second or third attempt. You have to keep at least 50 gold in your inventory at all times to play. So don't waste gold.
- Try to win every episode race. Every player can win every episode race, as this race is an illusion. Play one episode at a time and don't be nudged into starting the next one unless you have time to complete it
- Use boosters wisely! Use gold wisely!
- Only ever spend 10 gold in any one attempt at a level. If you can't pass with 10 gold replay the level until the game offers you enough extra moves for 10 gold to pass. (If you watched ads for extra moves and failed: replay and next time choose the 10 gold option)
- use the timed boosters the game gives you wisely: Don't log in unless you are ready to make good use of the boosters from daily treat machine
- Play one or two episodes per day. If you play more than that the game gets harder
- Don't be fooled by the super charger! It's in the game to make money for King, not to help players. Candy Crush is not about keeping a win streak and levels are designed to make players spend money to keep the super chargers. If you lose and replay a level instead of paying up to keep your win streak and super charger you may find it easy to pass on a second or third attempt
- If you want to see adverts for free boosters and free extra moves in your game do NOT spend any money
