Starting episode with nightmare difficulty

what’s the point of starting with a difficulty of nightmare and similar?
If a was a spender or was in the middle of an important event I could maybe use some of the hard to get gold to get going.
Now, I’m just going to wait for king to let me pass the level. 🤷‍♂️

Agree with the other comments. The episode I just started starts with 3 legendary in a row. There is no reason except to have us pay. This sure has taken any enjoyment out of the game. Shame on the developers and candy crush.

The game is so ridiculous since they put too many legendary levels at the end of the episode race!! You MUST HAVE lots of gold bars, boosters, or be very lucky, to get through those impossible levels!!!! Bottom line....the game wants you to spend lots of money, in which I refuse to do!!!!

Ending with legendary is just to keeping you from completing without boosters. That’s why they put like 3-4 in a row to make sure you either pay or use all saved resources. When they then choose to start the next expecting us to spend some more to start is just a big slap in the face.

This problem is less severe than episodes ENDING with nightmare/legendary levels. An Episode Race will not start until you complete the first level of an episode, so a hard first level is the least of your worries.

I love this comment and have wondered the same ever since this change was introduced. I find it so off-putting in a game where anyone with any sense will play the game one episode at a time. Many times recently when the first level of the episode has held me up I have simply given up after a few attempts and delayed playing and then come back to the game the following day in hope to get a lucky board. It is so illogical to make the first level extra hard! Typical AI nonsense. No idea of what makes us human and how humans react.
