I don’t like games like Star Tournament. You can’t play some of the other games while playing it. Can it be optional or can it be fixed so you can progress in the other games as well at the same time.

It's been complained about plenty of times and I don't think King will chance it. They do not seem to care about players who have reached the end of the map. But of course it is optional. You can choose not to play it. One option you might want to consider is starting a new account from level 1. There is nothing of interest at the end of the map. New players get all the good events, players at the end of the game don't.
I have been at the end of the map for some time so it is Star Tournament, which is actually just reruns, or going back over old ones myself. Boring and impossible to get through some challenges
This is your 4th or 5th post re the Star Tournament @MarilynRules you obviously like going into it. It's really there for those at the end of the map to have something to play, if they want to, while waiting for the new levels to be released.
You don't have to play it and if you have any side games, check to see if older levels can be played to complete them. If they can't and if the Star Tournament doesn't also cover those side games, you will just have to wait for the new levels 🙃
