🏆 Melting Season overview: events, tournaments, and dates

Melting Season has arrived in the game, bringing a fresh seasonal look and a mix of events to enjoy during February.

With Valentine’s Day around the corner, this season combines a cosy winter feel with themed challenges, returning favourites, and a special Valentine tournament.

Here’s a simple overview of what’s happening during Melting Season, without spoilers or surprises.

Melting Season Dates

From 2 February to 1 March

During the season, you can expect:

Seasonal visuals and quests in the game
Limited time events across February
The Valentine’s Tournament with multiple competitive rounds

💖 Valentine’s Cake Quest Tournament

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, the Valentine’s Cake Quest Tournament will be available during Melting Season.

This is a leaderboard event where you can:

Play any level while the event is live
Collect purple candies to score points
Follow your progress on a live leaderboard
Earn rewards by advancing through the rounds

📅 Tournament rounds

Qualifier: 6 to 8 February
Knockouts: 10 to 12 February
Final: 14 to 15 February

🎯 How the tournament works

Play any level while the event is live
Collect purple candies to score points
Your score appears on a live leaderboard
Top players move forward each round
Final winners earn Gold Bars

⭐ Multiplier token reminder

During the Valentine’s Cake Quest Tournament, players will see the multiplier token feature.

Multiplier tokens can temporarily boost the points you earn during leaderboard events.

Please note: A small percentage of players may not see the event due to testing!

Melting Season community badge

A special Melting Season badge is available in the community.

Once approved, the badge will appear on your community profile.

👀 Other events you may see during Melting Season

Alongside the Valentine tournament, several familiar events will appear during the season. These events come and go at different times.

You may see:

Baker’s Box
Color Bomb Series
Critter Catch (also known as Tap the Butterfly), available to some players
Don’t Feed the Troll, popping up later in the season
Saga Adventures, where you help rescue a character at the end of an episode.

Not all events appear for everyone at the same time, and availability may vary due to testing.

Interesting season! I do have the following events:

Baker's Box
Valentine's Cake Quest Tournament
Color Bomb Series (very cool event!)

But not events like Critter Catch or Saga Adventures.

I also love the new intuitive of the Candy Crushables, it's enjoyable! 🤩

I haven't seen Candy Royale back to my game yet though.

Has the First race nerfed to require less color bombs? 2nd asked for 20 Colorbombs

Well, I think the test groups have been reshuffled this year. I had the "Creature Catch" challenge, but I only managed to catch all the creatures once. I was also only able to feed the troll once, and I actually received a good reward.

What I'm especially happy about is that I got to play Candy Royale again for the first time in a year. Very satisfied.

As a player in the 17,000s the new Bakers box and melting season are almost impossible to get because new levels are so hard to pass.

Have attached screenshot of my board today 😂

Also at a massive disadvantage in any tournaments playing against people at earlier levels which are much easier to pass.

Really not much incentive to keep playing the game past level 17,000.
Not much fun being faced with one nightmare level after another let alone trying to compete in tournaments.

I'll wait and see. I've never had baker's box or critter catch, don't feed the troll is just annoying now that only new levels count, and color bomb series is always good for a coconut wheel or two. I do like that old levels will count for the leaderboard.

Not an awful lot there for me. Don't play Leaderboards, or Don't feed the Annoying Troll. Hardly ever get Bakers Box or Critter Catch and when I get Colour Bomb Series I'm always last and get a Coconut Wheel 🥴

But at least I got the Melting Season 2026 badge 👍

And as asked here's a screenshot taken today of my Colour Bomb Series, where I'm being congratulated for coming 30th and getting a Coconut Wheel 🙄

Unrelated question but will Wednesday's new levels pop up in the same time that they popped before (14:00 CET) or earlier (Around 10:00 CET) as I found that Color Bomb Series event now pop ups at 11:00 and 23:00 ATH instead of 15:00 and 03:00 ATH. (ATH = Athens Time)

Otherwise, a nice season indeed.
