Star Tournament

What do we really get for being dedicated players for years and getting to the end of the game? A useless Star Tournament where you can hardly win levels or anything. And I’ve noticed recently that the levels have been made even harder. We gain nothing, aren’t counted for the weekly wins, the levels we manage to win don’t count towards the chocolate box, so what exactly do we gain from being at the top of the game? It’s so unfair!

You are right. Just like teenybee said, they don’t count for new level tasks in the Chocolate Box.

Actually, I have never tried the Star Tournament win for new level task in the Chocolate Box. I was lucky enough to always skip the new level task and opt for a booster option.

It does work with Deep Dive Dash which this time it lasts for the whole week instead of only the non-elite days of the week (Where Don't Feed the Troll and Elite Races/Caramel Cup appear for instance as well). For some weeks with Color Bomb Series (Not the last one, though) it did appeared on Fridays to Sundays as well

For Chocolate Box, the win aren't counted for Chocolate Box actually as all tasks that require new levels won't be progressed but all tasks that are doable with old levels are progressable within star Tournament as well

Yeah, @teenybee , I got it, I'm a little out of it today, sorry. I've only had a month to enjoy it, it's still workable for Baker's Box, not so sure about Deep Dive Dash.

Didn’t intend to baffle you @MannyFae! What I was referring to was just that - that with the reduction in moves you only got a few weeks to capitalise on flying through them for the side contests. Does that make more sense?

I somewhat baffled by this statement. I didn't get a good run with them where? I only play Star Tournament for Baker's box, Deep Dive Dash, and butterflies. I haven't tried it for leaderboards, and with the recent move reduction, it may not be worth trying.

I’d imagine @Carol-38 that @Babe1022 knows this already as it sounds like they’ve been playing it for a while, but just for the record:

Of the current events, Star Tournament levels count towards Baker’s Box, Deep Dive Dash, Don’t feed the Troll, Colour Bomb challenge and candies/booster collection tasks in the Chocolate Box and leaderboard contests.

However they don’t count as new levels for the purposes of the Weekly Race or pass new level tasks in the Chocolate Box.

The prizes for passing the Star Tournament levels themselves are so miserly that I doubt too many players play them just for that. And yes, with the reduction in moves many of them have recently been made almost as difficult to pass as they were a couple of years ago. @MannyFae didn’t get much of a good run with them 🙁

Hi @Babe1022 I'm at the end of the map, and like you I don't enjoy the Star Tournament. It is there though for players who like to continuously play while waiting for the new levels each Wednesday. Also it does count for certain side games, I can't list them though because as I said I don't play it. Twinny @teenybee you play Star Tournament don't you, what side games/features can it help with.

If you don't want to play it Babe1022, and you have spare time, have a read and join in other posts in the Community, you might find that more fun 👍

Hi @Babe1022 you can get badges in King community for being at the top of the game. Since most of the events is not playable, I think all you can do is slow down your pace: collecting daily rewards everyday and play only one episode the most. Nothing I can help or teach you here since my level only 4000ish. Becoming player at the end of the map really is something I won't want to imagine for.

I do play it occassionally. In my game, the wins are counted for Team Clash, Don't Feed The Troll and Chocolate Box. I suppose it is not the same for everyone.

Star Tournament is for a niche player who find it fun to play. The low-value rewards are definitely not an incentive. Not many find it fun to play though. It is very competitive.

My current score is far behind the top player. Anyway, I don't aspire to beat the top player. Just play for fun.
