can’t play CC because Bird or other game apps override CC and lock game up. Have to turn phone off to get rid of it. Help desk doesn’t help at all. I have a 17e phone.

You have a newer phone and more games than me, so I have not encountered this problem. Have you tried closing your other games before launching Candy Crush Saga?
I found the following information on the Internet: When you turn on your iPhone, no third-party apps should launch automatically into an active state on your screen. If an app appears to be open immediately after your phone unlocks, it is usually because iOS restored the previous session or state of that specific app from memory.
