Is there a way to opt out of Sweet Crew aside from playing in Airplane Mode?

Hi Tina, You will know if you are receiving gifts from the other players as you get a message that says something similar to 'Tina has sent you moves'.
When you send moves, lives or lollipops they do not come from your inventory.
Note that it might be that you aren't receiving anything from your Crew as they might not be playing. Alternatively they might be playing, but haven't bothered to click the send button.
No Shell that isn't what happens. Please don't worry about your inventory, as it isn't affected by Sweet Crew. Please join the Crew if you play fifty levels anyway you have nothing to lose and a lot to gain.

Why not just donate the items xxcher? They don't cost you anything, and it would be quicker than restarting your game.

Hi Alienscar 😊 as a newbie, I am not sure how to reply directly to your comment but thank you for your support and extreme helpfulness! I ended up just clicking to see what would eventuate and yes, nothing was missing from my inventory - rather it is all good, and you do receive extra goodies which is nice. Also, thanks for enlightening 'heshan_g' regarding his/her unneeded, negative posts 🤷♀️

I fully agree. I became a member just to say that "This is a terrible feature". Give an option to opt-out. I have stopped playing the game because it forces me to donate a Crusher.

Hi Pitabas, I ended up just going with it and I didn't need to donate anything. Rather, as I played, I was given treats. I joined a crew and it doesn't seem to appear much unless the rest are playing? I found that I received gifts from them a couple of times and then I gave gifts that did not come out of my stock, thank goodness! But I agree, you should be able to disable if you don't wish to join. 🤷♀️😊

So, from what I’ve read here, there is no way to opt out of Crew? Guess I’m done with this game … so annoying and I do not like the loss of choice.

Hi, no, if you click on it, as I did, it joins you to a crew and you get gifts. It did not use my stock and now it hasn't come up since, so its all good, just click on it and you will get through it 😊

Very disappointing that you’re forced into sweet crew… isn’t it punishment enough we have to have Chloe’s face on our phone even if we don’t want to look at her?

@Pitabas @kholl @Bill_Mayhall I really don't understand all of the negativity towards the Sweet Crew. You are forced into every event that takes place in Candy Crush. Heartfelt Harvest, Fall In Love, Secret Crush, Crusher League and the like also gave you no choice other than to play. You can cross out of them instead of pressing play, but that doesn't actually stop you from having to take part in the event.
The only real difference that I can see is that in Sweet Crew you have to send your crew a free booster/life. The booster/life isn't yours it is totally free, so I really struggle to understand why anyone would not want to take part. If you don't mind playing for an hour the rewards aren't bad either.
