Never knew something so small could make me feel like rubbish, the way they spoke to me brought on some memories that happened that I had to call the police, I didn't sleep well and I feel over whelmed I don't know what to do 😪

You know what, I will work with the mods to settle this and then I'll move on with my life. I shouldn't let some person on a website affect me, even thought it brought up some really horrible feelings and memories I'm better then that, the mods will help me through this so im so much better then that! Let's go Shaunie

Posts like this make me uncomfortable Shaunie. This is because I would like to help, but I don't feel qualified to help in anyway. I also don't want to say the wrong thing and make things worse for you.
As with anything in life if something is making you feel unsafe, then find somewhere that you feel safe. In this instance I would say stopping signing into this community for awhile and talk to your real life friends instead. Watch a bit of TV, or go shopping. Anything to distract your thoughts from the messages you received.
I don't know if it works for the IM system, but you can ignore people by clicking on their avatar and selecting ignore.
