Running iOS 15.2.1
When adjusting the volume while playing candy crush. The volume slider doesn’t disappear from the screen unless the app is briefly exited. This interrupts game play and has lead to crashes.

Most likely your device is freezing if you control the volume during the game. However let me know if you get the solution by following some troubleshooting steps as per the link below.
