Why do my boosters keep disappearing?

I have lost my boosters in the past mostly because of an update or if I had to uninstall and reinstall. However yesterday I lost all my boosters for no reason, they just disappeared. I normally wouldn't go to the trouble of looking into it but I am extremely frustrated. I collected the most I ever had and now they are gone. How can I get them back? It is not fair that this keeps happening especially since I am unable to contact anyone regarding this issue. I hope customer service replies instead of the auto response.
