I get a connection error message to try again in a little bit. I've updated candy crush & Facebook. I am not sure if my progress is synced. I have restarted my phone several times.

Hi thanks for replying back . you need to reinstall the game app after uninstalling to get the solution. Uninstalling the game app will cause you to lose all stored booster and unsaved levels but your problem will be solved.
