Is the Episode Race still present in your game or is it gone?
If you have not received the gold bars at the end of the race you can contact the Player Support Team.

If, on the other hand, the race has disappeared from your game it could be due to temporary problems or it could be in the testing phase and reappear after some time.
NOTE: Remember to leave your GAME ID for the Player Support Team.

The reason that this feature is not working for you is that King (in their infinite wisdom) have decided that players who have reached the top of the card are so good and no longer need gold bars (except by paying for them), and have therefore rendered this feature inoperable for those types of players; so at the moment, the only way to earn GBs within the game is to play the deluxe chocolate box (if it is in your game).
The situation is the same since (at least) five months ago.
The feature would probably return if you were willing to drop/fall back a few episodes/levels and not be in the Wednesday waiting room, but you might not want to stop playing.
Another way to earn some GBs (but this will be outside of the game) is to sign up for the royalty program (unless you have already done so) and collect the points...
